mr S.J. van der Woude (Simon)

Simon van der Woude specialises in Dutch and European criminal law, including economic criminal law and extradition law. He also focuses on immigration law, especially in a European context.

Simon van der Woude is a member of the Advisory Committee on Criminal Law of the Netherlands Bar Association. From 2000 to 2010, he was an auxiliary Justice in the Court of Appeals at Leeuwarden.

He was called to the bar in 1985 and is a member of the Netherlands Association for Criminal Lawyers, the Netherlands Lawyers' Committee for Human Rights and the national Working Group on Legal Aid in Immigration and Asylum Cases. He speaks English, French and German.
